Recent (2008) University of Florida (Patent Applied For) white fancy-leaved introduction with cranberry red spots.  Bred as a replacement for Marie Moir which has historically been inconsistent in its performance.  Cranberry star has excellent pot habit de-eyed or not in pot sizes 4-10 inch.  It is slower to sprout and finish than many of the fancy varieties but worth the wait.  In the landscape Cranberry Star prefers partial-sun to shady locations.  Cranberry star has a compact habit similar to Candidum Junior.

De-eyeing caladiums can result in fuller plants
